Andrew T. Carter is a New York-based director/choreographer and movement specialist. He is intuitive, compassionate, creative and curious. This helps him connect with people and their work. His work has been seen in New York, Toronto and Baltimore. He's worked in Paris with Ariane Mnouchkine and the Théâtre du Soleil, and in NY with Mabou Mines. Andrew also develops dance-theatre productions, collaborating with composers, playwrights, and actors. His music background enables him to communicate with singers and composers in their own language. |

Andrew is a PMA® Certified Pilates Instructor and a Certified Feldenkrais® Teacher - an advanced degree in muscle patterning and function. He spent 10 years teaching in tandem with physical therapists. There he worked with performers from major dance companies and Broadway shows. |

He's taught in Canada, USA, South America and Europe, including for the Directors' Lab West in Pasadena and at Le Centre de Danse du Marais in Paris. Andrew developed Body Integration – a systemic approach to the needs of performers, and adapted for dancers, actors, vocalists or musicians. |

He began his dance training at the Professional Division of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet; has a BFA Dance from Purchase College/SUNY; and an MFA Theatre from Towson University. |
